Both the falls are at a distance of 5 kilometers and are nestled in the Sholayar ranges. Athirapally splashes down from the height of 800 feet and is an ideal spot for picnicking. A Vazhachal waterfall is another picturesque falls and a part of Chalakudy River. Both these two falls presents their cool misty waters cascading down from the backdrop of lush green forests and rocky terrain which overall gives a sparkling experience to the tourist.
Tusharagiri waterfall is located in the Kozhikode district and the best time to visit is from September to November. The falls is called so as the river diverges into three streams creating a snow spray and the name Tusharagiri means “snow capped mountains”. It is situated at a distance of 31 kilometers from Kozhikode. It is a paradise for trekkers, wildlife explorers and rock climbers.
The name Palaruvi means “stream of milk” cascades from the height of 300 feet high. It is a perfect location for picnicking and a great place of tourist interest. It is one of the most picturesque waterfalls of the state and a visit to the falls through the dense forest is truly amazing. It is indeed a treat to both eye and soul. It is believed that the water of Palaruvi is believed to have medicinal properties.
It is located at a distance of 16 kilometers from Thodupuzha in Idduki district and is well known for seven step waterfalls. It is a paradise for adventure seekers. Tourist visiting Thommankuthu waterfalls can experience various opportunities like night camping, bathing in the falls, trekking and pedal boating. It is also an ideal place for picnicking.
An Aruvikkuzhi waterfall is located at a distance of 22 kilometers from Kottayam. It is a great place to explore with your naked eyes as it is an ideal soothing location for movies. The falls cascades from the height of 100 feet high and the visitors can enjoy the shade of the rubber plants in here. Enjoy the lush greenery and blissful ambiance of environment. It is a heaven for trekkers.
